There's no limit to the number of products you can extract. ProdSift can handle stores with thousands of products. Small stores (under 100 products) extract in 1-2 minutes, medium stores (100-1000 products) take 3-5 minutes, and large stores (1000+ products) may take 5-10 minutes depending on the store's size.

Yes, extracting publicly available product information for competitive analysis and market research is legal. ProdSift only extracts data that's publicly visible to anyone visiting the store. We don't access password-protected areas, customer data, or proprietary systems. The extracted data should be used ethically for research, analysis, and competitive intelligence purposes.

The CSV export includes comprehensive product data: product names, descriptions (short and full), prices (regular and sale), SKUs, product URLs, image URLs, product variants (size, color, etc.), categories and tags, stock status, and metadata. ProdSift exports data in standard Shopify, WooCommerce CSV formats and standard Excel formats that can be used for analysis. You can choose which format you need when downloading. The CSV includes all required columns for importing directly into your store without manual formatting. All data is UTF-8 encoded to preserve special characters.

If an extraction appears stuck, check your internet connection, confirm the store URL is correct and publicly accessible, and try restarting the extraction.

Extraction issues can occur if the store URL is incorrect, the store is private or under maintenance, or there are temporary network or server limitations. If a failure occurs, try again after a few minutes and make sure the store is publicly accessible. If the problem continues, contact support for assistance.

Yes. We take security seriously. All connections use HTTPS encryption, we do not sell or share your data with third parties, and our calculators run entirely client-side so your data never leaves your device.

No. ProdSift does not store extracted product data. All extractions are processed in real time and CSV files are generated on the fly for you to download. Once the download is complete, the data is not saved on our servers.

ProdSift extracts only publicly available product information, similar to how a regular visitor views a store. We do not access private systems or admin panels. In most cases, store owners cannot identify individual users who perform extractions.
